Join us for a ride from Edison,WA (technically Bow,WA but this neighboring old town is called Edison)Granary Building on a 29.6 mile route at the Leisure Pace(10-12 mph)!
This ride rewards us with pastoral, water and mountain views, winter bird migrations, wildlife, farm fresh foods and small town charm. There is the option of stopping at Samish Bay Cheese or Bow Blueberry Farm at mile 28 towards the finish.
Let's meet in front of the Granary Building at 14136 Gilmore Ave.,Bow.(in town of unincorporated Edison)(Parking is recommended on Gilmore Ave.) at Noon for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 12:05 pm.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available near the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles as needed at various options mp.1, 5.10,19,along the route. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at mile 19. Optional post ride stop at Edison's new Terramar Brewstillery.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
