Cascade's White Center summer bike camp keeps kids engaged in learning

Do you live near White Center and have kids at home who are itching for summer fun? Cascade's summer bicycle camp is coming to the White Center Bicycle Playground from August 5-9. Our camps are in full gear, and this year’s curriculum offers a complete lineup of opportunities to learn important bicycle safety and riding skills—and of course, to have fun. There’s a significant body of evidence suggesting that keeping children mentally and physically engaged over the summer can help slow summer learning loss. This summer, we're excited to include arts, crafts, exploration, games, and challenges into our rewarding bicycle curriculum.

The best news? It's not too late to register! Sign up for the White Center summer camp now.

The scoop on camps: Cascade Bicycle Club’s summer camp sessions explore the fundamentals of biking independently and with others. Campers take their bicycling to the next level as they explore biking routes, locations, and more complex cycling techniques. Through small and large group activities, campers begin to build a sense of community and camaraderie.

Under the careful guidance of our experienced counselors, campers discover the trails, parks, and urban wild spaces of our much-loved Puget Sound region. Activities and skills are tailored for the specific ages of each camp session. Some of the activities offered may include basic bike maintenance skills, developing safe riding habits, and learning about pedestrian and biking infrastructure. Plus kids get a cool camp T-shirt!
