This week’s Washington Bike Summit was the most important place for biking in Washington, according to John Snyder, Governor Inslee’s policy advisor on outdoor recreation — and we agree!

With over 200 advocates, professionals, elected officials and topic experts attending two days of formal presentation and breakout sessions, inspiring keynotes, remarks from WSDOT officials and state legislators, plus trips to “the Hill” to advocate for local priorities with district legislators, the buzz at the Bike Summit helped make it our best yet!

From Yamika, Pullman, Walla-Walla, Port Townsend, Tacoma, Bellingham, Bellevue and even Forth Worth/Dallas, attendees took time to learn, share and troubleshoot at this unique opportunity for peer-to-peer learning among Washingtonians who are working to create bike-friendly communities.

We’re already looking forward to 2018, where we’ll take the Summit east of the Cascades to Spokane. But before we get ahead of ourselves, check out the buzz around this year's convergence of bike-minds:
