Calling all Snohomish County bike riders!
The city of Mukilteo is constructing a new roadway that will provide an alternate, all ages and abilities route, allowing people to bypass riding on the Mukilteo Speedway. Mukilteo wants your feedback on Harbour Drive Reach Extension, which is a new roadway that will be built.
They are considering four options including protected bike lanes, buffered bike lanes and a multi-use path with bike lanes as shown in the concept drawing below.
Cascade prefers option 1, buffered bike lanes on each side of the street. This will maximize convenience for people riding bicycles, provide a three foot buffer from automobile traffic, and connect seamlessly with existing facilities and could easily be converted into protected bike lanes in the future. If you ride in Mukilteo or Snohomish County, please cast your vote!
