Will the new waterfront welcome people on bikes? It's up to you.

As the new Alaskan Way is designed, we need to ensure families and commuters have safe places to ride a bike.
This Monday, Waterfront Seattle is hosting an open house on what to study for the future Alaskan Way pedestrian promenade and overlook walk (as part of the the Environmental Impact Statement "scoping" process).
This project will have major impacts on transportation in Seattle. We want to ensure safe, comfortable and convenient bicycle accommodations are part of the entire project, including construction.
Join us in calling for the Environmental Impact Statement to:
- Evaluate alternatives with fewer travel lanes for motor vehicles
- Assess all the impacts on non-motorized transportation both along and across the corridor
- Ensure safe, direct access for people riding bicycles during the construction of the project
